Accounts Semi Senior - Stoke-on-Trent (WL-19207)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, England. Sector: Accountancy. Salary £28,000.00 to £33,000.00 per annum.

Clark Wood is recruiting for an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join a firm in Stoke. This well-established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their experienced team. Working with a broad portfolio of OMBs and SMEs, you'll gain exposure to a varied workload while receiving ongoing training and support to develop your career.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and tax returns.
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting bookkeeping assignments.
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
• Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and answer day-to-day queries.
• Working alongside Managers and Partners to ensure assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Supporting junior team members where appropriate.

You will ideally:

• Be AAT qualified or studying ACA / ACCA (or qualified by experience).
• Have at least 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Have experience preparing accounts for a range of clients.
• Be familiar with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
• Have strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach.
• Be keen to continue developing your technical knowledge and progress your career.
