Tax Manager – Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

Clark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded and growing accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Tax Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified tax professional, or an experienced tax specialist qualified by experience, looking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of corporate, owner-managed and private clients, providing a combination of tax compliance, planning and advisory services.

As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate, OMB and private clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing complex Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns.
  • Providing proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients.
  • Advising high-net-worth individuals on areas including Inheritance Tax, trusts and estate planning.
  • Liaising with HMRC and supporting clients through tax enquiries and investigations.
  • Building strong, long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
  • Working closely with Partners and other departments on complex tax and advisory assignments.
  • Reviewing work and providing technical support and guidance to junior members of the tax team.
  • Contributing to improvements in tax processes, systems and technology.

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience.
  • Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Previous experience managing a varied tax portfolio.
  • Good technical knowledge across tax compliance and advisory.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • A commercial and proactive approach to client service.
