A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Hornchurch is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi Senior to join its tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with existing personal tax experience who is looking to continue developing their career within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of private clients and gain exposure to a broad range of personal tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Preparing Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors, sole traders and partnerships
- Supporting with capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance matters
- Handling client queries and corresponding with HMRC on their behalf
- Ensuring tax compliance deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
- Assisting senior members of the tax team with advisory projects where required
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver an excellent client experience
About You
- Previous experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy practice
- Working knowledge of UK personal tax compliance and Self Assessment
- Studying towards ATT or keen to pursue further professional qualifications would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and work to deadlines
