Clark Wood are currently working with a fast-growing, award-winning North West practice who are looking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their expanding team in Manchester. This forward-thinking firm has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while maintaining a supportive, collaborative culture that encourages professional growth.
They are now seeking an ambitious and personable tax professional who is keen to develop their career within a firm that values long-term progression. In this role, you will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, partners, and business owners. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, handling advisory queries, identifying planning opportunities, and ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
You will build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact and providing clear, proactive advice. In addition, you will support junior team members through on-the-job guidance to ensure high standards are maintained across the department.
The ideal candidate will be ATT or CTA qualified or studying (or QBE with relevant experience), with experience working in a private client tax role within an accountancy practice. Strong communication skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively are essential.
