Mixed Tax Senior Manager Durham Highly Competitive Salary and Benefits (including Hybrid Working) Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly reputable and progressive North East firm of chartered accountants who, due to continued and sustained success and growth, are looking to appoint a Mixed Tax Senior Manager to their Durham office where you will undertake high level tax planning work on a variety of clients. As a Mixed Tax Senior Manager you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of clients including Owner Managed Businesses and High Net Worth Individuals. Working closely with the existing Tax Managers across the firm’s regional offices, you will be responsible for the provision of excellent advisory services to clients on both corporate and personal tax issues. You will play an integral role in the continuing development of the firm’s tax offering and will be involved with business development activities, engaging with both new and existing clients. This established and distinguished Durham-based firm offers truly varied exposure to a diverse range of clients and interesting work. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional to join a well-regarded firm of accountants where you will receive a highly competitive salary as well as great benefits including hybrid working, flexible start and finish times, and a nine-day fortnight (enabling employees to work their fortnightly contractual hours over 9 days to achieve one day off a fortnight). Duties & Responsibilities: Undertake work primarily in respect of corporate clients but with some interaction with other taxes (including income tax, CGT, VAT). Oversee some UK and international tax compliance work, primarily in a reviewing and client liaison point of contact. Undertake advisory tax projects (this could include company valuations, company reorganisations, acquisitions and sales, dealing with HM Revenue and Customs enquiries, establishment of share option schemes, and preparation of specific tax advice and reports). Regular liaison with HM Revenue and Customs, clients, and the firm’s accounts and audit departments. Trusted deputy to the Tax partners who will also have oversight of the tax managers, seniors, and trainees, including hires. Skills: CTA or ACA qualified. Demonstrable Tax Planning and management experience gained within a reputable firm of accountants. Business development experience.
