Clark Wood are currently working with a successful accountancy firm who are looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior to join their growing Corporate Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected practice. The firm advises a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from owner‑managed businesses and family companies through to large corporate groups and international organisations, providing specialist tax, audit, and advisory services.

The successful candidate will join an established Corporate Tax team and take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of corporate clients. The role will involve preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns, assisting with a broad range of advisory projects, and supporting clients with complex tax and business matters.

In addition, you will work closely with Partners, Directors, and Managers on corporate transactions, restructurings, international tax matters, and strategic advisory assignments. You will build strong client relationships, identify tax planning opportunities, and contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm's corporate tax offering.

The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified, or recently qualified with up to two years' post‑qualification experience. Previous exposure to both corporate tax compliance and advisory work will be highly advantageous, alongside strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients ranging from owner‑managed businesses to large corporate and international groups
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and tax returns
  • Ensuring compliance obligations are completed accurately and within deadlines
  • Assisting with a broad range of corporate tax advisory projects
  • Supporting clients with acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and group reorganisations
  • Assisting with international tax matters including cross‑border transactions and overseas group structures
  • Liaising with HMRC regarding enquiries, clearances and compliance matters
  • Undertaking technical research and preparing written advice and reports
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and assisting clients with tax risk management
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Working closely with Partners, Directors and Managers on complex assignments
  • Collaborating with colleagues across audit, accounts and advisory teams
  • Supporting the continued growth and development of the corporate tax department
Skills
  • ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified
  • Recently qualified or up to two years' post‑qualification experience
  • Strong corporate tax compliance experience
  • Exposure to corporate tax advisory work would be advantageous
  • Experience working with owner‑managed businesses and corporate groups
  • Knowledge of corporate transactions and restructuring projects would be beneficial
  • Interest in developing expertise across advisory and international tax matters
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Hybrid working with two home working days per week. Flexible core working hours. 33 days annual leave including.
