Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading UK advisory and accountancy group who are looking to recruit an Employment Tax Manager to join their fast-growing specialist Employment Tax team in London. This firm supports the SME market with a full service offering including Audit, Accounts & Advisory, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery. With strong infrastructure, a values-led culture and ambitious growth plans, this opportunity offers genuine scope to make an impact within a developing team alongside excellent long-term progression prospects.
Role Responsibilities- Managing employment tax compliance services including PAYE health checks, P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements
- Overseeing compliance aspects of CIS where relevant
- Managing employment related securities compliance processes
- Drafting advisory emails/reports on key employment tax matters including ERS, employment status, IR35, termination payments and benefits structuring
- Supporting senior stakeholders with strategic advice, identifying risks and opportunities for clients
- Keeping up-to-date with UK employment tax legislation and HMRC guidance and sharing insights internally and externally
- Supporting client meetings, presentations and training sessions
- Contributing to business development including proposals, networking and identifying opportunities in the existing client base
- Coaching and supporting junior staff, ensuring high standards and timely delivery
- Strong employment tax experience gained in UK practice
- ERS knowledge is beneficial
- ATT qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience dealing with HMRC enquiries and correspondence
- Strong Excel skills with ability to analyse/manipulate data
- Payroll processing exposure is advantageous but not essential
- Organised, proactive and able to take ownership of tasks through to completion
