My client is a growing and dynamic professional services firm looking to appoint an Employment Tax Assistant Manager to join their team. The role offers the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio across multiple business sectors, combining compliance work with advisory opportunities in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
- Managing year-end reporting including P11Ds, PSA, STBV, and ERS submissions
- Advising clients on employment tax matters, including pay and benefits, employee status, and payroll compliance
- Identifying advisory opportunities and supporting the growth of the team's service offering
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment tax legislation and changes
The Ideal Candidate
- ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Recent practical experience managing an employment tax compliance portfolio
- Strong technical knowledge of employment tax legislation and reporting requirements
- Commercially minded, proactive, and confident in client-facing situations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to clients and colleagues
- Team-oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
- Comfortable identifying advisory opportunities and contributing to business development initiatives
