Alton Clark Wood is partnering with a well-established independent accountancy firm in Alton, seeking an experienced senior tax manager to join their growing Private Client Tax team. This is a key hire offering flexibility for full-time or part-time working arrangements. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and directors of owner-managed businesses. Working closely with the Partners, you will also contribute to tax planning and advisory projects, leading compliance for approximately 1,000 clients with the support of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage personal tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio
  • Provide advisory support for HNWIs, trusts, and estates
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality advice
  • Work alongside partners on planning, advisory, and project work

  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Strong background in personal tax within practice
