We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice seeking a Tax Manager to join their team in Halesworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA-qualified professional (or someone with equivalent experience) to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while playing a key role in the continued growth of the firm’s tax offering.
The Role
- Provide expert tax advice to a range of clients, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses.
- Work closely with clients to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions while supporting and developing junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of tax clients and acting as a trusted adviser.
- Providing advice on Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering effective solutions.
- Managing and reviewing tax compliance work.
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
- Leading tax consultancy assignments and resolving complex technical issues.
- Supporting business development and cross-selling initiatives.
- Managing work in progress, billing and client service delivery.
About You
- CTA qualification or equivalent tax experience.
- Strong experience dealing with owner-managed business tax issues.
- Sound technical knowledge across Income Tax, Corporation Tax, CGT and IHT.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring staff.
