Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading Hertfordshire firm who are actively looking for a Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their Hitchin office. This is an excellent and rare opportunity which will offer the chance to predominantly work from home with the successful candidate expected to attend the office once a week.
Role Overview: In this leading firm, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, handling all aspects of the corporation tax compliance function. Additionally, you will assist in other compliance tasks, oversee and develop junior staff, and gradually be introduced to advisory and planning work. As a portfolio manager, you will build and maintain strong client relationships and supervise Tax Assistants, reviewing their work and providing guidance when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own client portfolio
- Prepare business tax computations and tax returns
- Draft tax clearances and reports
- Conduct technical research
- Prepare election control sheets and client review sheets
- Review Alphatax/Taxpoint lists to meet deadlines
- Assist clients with comprehensive planning, consultancy, and advisory work
Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified
- CTA Qualified or Part Qualified
- Experience in a Tax-focused role (either solely Corporate or mixed Corporate and Personal)
