Accounts & Audit Manager - Northallerton
£50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits
Clark Wood are recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager to join a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Northallerton.
This is a varied practice role suited to an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with experience in audit, accounts and client management.
The role would suit an experienced Audit Manager, Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Accounts & Audit Senior looking to take the next step in their career.
You will manage a varied portfolio of SME, owner-managed business, charity and corporate clients, taking responsibility for audit assignments, accounts preparation and review, client relationships and supporting junior staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients
- Planning, managing and reviewing statutory audits
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under UK GAAP
- Reviewing corporation tax computations
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Managing deadlines, workflow and budgets
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members
- Supporting and mentoring Accounts and Audit Seniors and trainees
- Working closely with Partners on client management and business development
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
- Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong audit and accounts experience
- Experience managing and reviewing audit assignments
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory accounts
- Confident managing client relationships
- Experience reviewing and supporting junior staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
