Senior Accountant - Dundee
Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Dundee, who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Dundee.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in general practice who is looking to take on greater responsibility, manage their own client portfolio and progress their career within a supportive and friendly environment.
The Role
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact.
- Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts.
- Overseeing VAT compliance and associated reporting requirements
- Providing clients with practical accounting advice and software recommendations.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team and supporting their development.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and financial analysis.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Candidate
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
- ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong accounts preparation and client management experience.
- Experience using IRIS, Sage or Xero would be advantageous.
- Confident communicating directly with clients.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
