Accounts & Audit Semi Senior / Senior | Devizes | £32,000 - £38,000 DOE
Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior / Senior to join their friendly and supportive team in Devizes.
The Role
Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will take responsibility for a range of audit assignments while also supporting with accounts and tax work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing audits from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, charities, academies and clubs
- Preparing audit files for Manager review
- Providing support and guidance to junior members of the team during audit assignments
- Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Preparing VAT returns
- Reviewing straightforward accounts and tax returns where required
- Supporting the development and training of AAT trainees
About You
- Ideally minimum 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Previous audit experience, ideally with experience of taking audits through from planning to completion
- Good knowledge of accounts preparation and audit processes
- Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
- Organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
- Accurate, proactive and solution-focused
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
