Accounts Manager / Client Manager - Stoke-on-Trent £55,000 - £70,000 + Hybrid Working + Benefits
Clark Wood are working with a leading accountancy firm in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager.
This is a client-facing role with responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of OMB and SME clients, overseeing accounts and tax work and providing a more commercial, advisory-focused service.
The role would suit an ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE accountant with a strong practice background who is comfortable managing clients and taking responsibility for their own portfolio.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of OMB, SME and corporate clients
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Oversee and review statutory accounts and Corporation Tax work
- Provide clients with accounting and commercial advice
- Manage deadlines, workflow and client deliverables
- Review work produced by junior members of the team
- Work closely with Partners on key clients and business development
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional services
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Strong accounts preparation and review experience
- Good knowledge of OMB and SME clients
- Confident communicator with strong client management skills
- Commercial approach with the ability to identify opportunities
- Xero or QuickBooks experience would be advantageous
