Tax Advisor / Tax Accountant required for a unique opportunity with a well-established Family Office based on the Somerset/Dorset border. Clark Wood is working exclusively with an entrepreneurial private Family Office looking to appoint an ambitious qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA, ACA or ACCA) to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for tax who is looking to work on high-quality, technically interesting matters with a clear route to Senior Manager. Working alongside the Head of Tax and Finance team, you'll support a varied portfolio of private interests, trusts and companies, with responsibilities including:

  • Tax-focused review of management accounts, statutory accounts and VAT returns
  • Preparation and review of UK Trust accounts
  • Personal tax, trust tax and inheritance tax compliance
  • Tax planning, including EIS and SEIS reliefs
  • UK tax compliance across individuals, trusts and companies
  • Liaising with overseas tax advisers where required
  • Supporting the implementation of Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax
  • Mentoring a Tax Assistant and contributing to wider finance projects

The role offers genuine progression, with the opportunity to take ownership of the in-house tax function and Trust portfolio over time. The successful candidate will ideally be ACA / ACCA / CTA Qualified with a minimum of 3+ years experience in practice or tax.
