Job Description
Clark Wood are working with an established independent firm of chartered accountants in Redditch who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager.
This is a varied practice role with responsibility for managing your own portfolio of SME clients and acting as a key point of contact.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Prepare and review statutory and management accounts
- Prepare and review tax computations and returns
- Deal directly with clients and handle queries
- Review work completed by junior members of the team
- Support junior staff with their development
- Assist with billing, workflow and general team management
- Get involved in ad hoc client work and projects
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong general practice background
- Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Confident dealing directly with clients
- Experience reviewing accounts and supporting junior staff
- Good technical knowledge and strong communication skills
