Clark Wood are partnering with a highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in Leeds. The firm seeks an experienced Accounts Senior or Accounts Assistant Manager to join their team. In this role you will manage a diverse portfolio of non‑audit clients, primarily OMBs, ranging from start‑ups to large companies with annual turnover up to the audit threshold. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that work is completed accurately and efficiently.
In addition to client management, you will oversee and assist in the development of junior staff, providing necessary support and reviewing their work. You will also provide a range of services, including the preparation and review of year‑end statutory accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping/VAT, and forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients from various industry sectors
- Supporting partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad‑hoc project work
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts and management accounts
- Preparation and review of tax computations and returns
- Acting as the primary point of contact for an array of clients
- Managing your own billing, workload, and that of the team efficiently to exceed client expectations
- Reviewing the work of junior staff and providing guidance and support as required
