Audit & Accounts Senior / Supervisor
Chester • Circa £40,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)
We are currently working with a leading North West firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an ambitious individual to the team in Chester, keen to progress their career with a well‑renowned firm. The firm offers an excellent platform for personal progression and development.
As an Audit & Accounts Senior / Supervisor you will undertake a varied role, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients across business sectors. You will be client‑facing and responsible for supervising junior staff and assisting in their development. The role involves leading audit assignments from initial planning to completion for group structured entities and large stand‑alone limited companies, as well as preparing and reviewing year‑end accounts and corporation tax returns.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives.
- Take an active part in audit planning and fraud discussions to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy.
- Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
- Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives.
- Supervise and develop more junior members of staff.
- Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies.
Qualifications & Skills
- ACCA / ACA Qualified or finalist.
- Experience of leading audit assignments.
