This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking to take greater ownership of their own portfolio while developing their advisory and management experience.
You'll work with a diverse portfolio of private clients, combining high-quality personal tax compliance with a growing range of advisory projects.
The position offers plenty of direct client contact and the opportunity to build trusted, long-term relationships while identifying additional tax planning opportunities.

The Role
You will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of private clients, acting as a primary point of contact and overseeing their ongoing personal tax requirements.
The role will include
- Managing a diverse portfolio of private clients.
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax compliance work.
- Supporting and delivering Private Client Tax advisory assignments.
- Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities within your portfolio.
- Attending client meetings and developing strong client relationships.
- Working closely with Partners, Directors and colleagues across other service lines.
- Supporting larger and more technically complex advisory projects.
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team.
- Providing technical guidance and day-to-day support to junior colleagues.
- Managing workflow, deadlines, WIP and client billing.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
There will also be opportunities to become involved in specialist areas depending on your interests, with agricultural and landed estate clients forming part of the wider client base.
- The Ideal Candidate
- You will ideally be
ATT and/or CTA qualified , although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered.
You should have strong experience in Private Client Tax compliance together with some exposure to advisory work and be comfortable taking responsibility for client relationships.
Experience reviewing work and supporting more junior members of a tax team would be particularly beneficial.
You should be organised, commercially aware and confident communicating directly with clients.
Previous agricultural tax experience would be advantageous but is not essential , and candidates with an interest in developing within this area are equally encouraged to apply.
