CRS are currently sourcing a full time Mobile Fitter for one of our hire clients divisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a front leader in the industry, supported by a great team with further training opportunities available. This opportunity would suit a small plant fitter or mechanic who has experience in small plant maintenance, electrical systems, battery powered tools and agricultural or construction industry plant.

Our prestigious client is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic to join a busy, field-based role covering the Croydon area. This position is ideal for someone with a background in small plant, agricultural, or construction equipment who enjoys working independently while being supported by a strong wider team. You will play a key role in keeping essential equipment operating safely and reliably, working directly at customer sites and taking ownership of your day-to-day workload.
Mobile fitter duties:
- Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on company and customer equipment at customer premises.
- Working independently and as part of a team to ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications.
- Completing job documentation accurately and following safe working practices at all times.
- Managing van stock levels and ordering parts as required to stay fully equipped.
Mobile fitter requirements:
- Time-served, qualified Plant Fitter or Mechanic or relevant experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to plan your workload and manage time effectively
- Solid working knowledge of small plant engines (petrol 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and diesel) is a distinct advantage.
- 12-volt electrical systems
- Battery-powered tools
You will also be required to pass a standard Drug & Alcohol medical. Complete PTS (Personal Track Safety) training all fully arranged and supported. Monday to Friday. Overtime available at higher rate.
