Clark Resourcing Solutions Ltd are proud to be recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager on behalf of a well-established and highly respected business operating within the hire and M&E support sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual with a strong background in the equipment, tool hire / construction industry (essential to be considered), who is looking to join a longstanding company offering genuine career progression and long-term development opportunities. Covering Central London, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing major accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting regional growth.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing and developing up to 30 key national and regional accounts while supporting the wider sales function across the region. This role is focused on strategic business development rather than direct people management, although you will work closely with and support the regional sales teams on projects, opportunities, and customer development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing up to 30 key customer accounts
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the region
  • Developing relationships with Tier 1 contractors, principal contractors, and subcontractors
  • Supporting major regional projects within the construction and M&E sectors
  • Working closely with the regional sales teams to drive revenue growth
  • Supporting but not directly managing the wider sales team
  • Presenting innovative and compliant solutions to customers and stakeholders
  • Maintaining CRM activity and pipeline reporting
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • A strong background within the tool / equipment hire industry, related to construction, fit outs, M and E, Pipework, (Essential to be considered).
  • Proven experience in business development and account management
  • Experience managing large or key customer accounts.
  • A track record of generating new business and revenue growth.
  • Experience working within construction, M&E, tool hire, plant hire, or related sectors
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive and commercially focused mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ideally based within the Greater Manchester area.
