Due to further expansion, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their team in St Albans.
- Role
- The paraplanning team is made up of paraplanners, administrators, and financial associates who work collaboratively to support the delivery of high-quality financial advice.
- Some team members operate within dedicated pods (smaller adviser aligned teams), while others work within a centralised structure to support activity across the business.
- As a Paraplanner, you will play a key role in supporting Financial Advisers by providing technical expertise, conducting research, and preparing client recommendations.
- You will be aligned with specific advisers, although this may change in line with business needs.
- The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Full time, office based.
Responsibilities
- Paraplanning
- Liaise closely with advisers, including participating in regular case update meetings.
- Provide technical support to advisers and colleagues, including assistance with calculations and complex queries.
- Conduct research and analysis to support new business recommendations.
- Prepare and draft suitability reports for adviser review and sign-off.
- Attend client meetings where required to support advisers and document outcomes.
- Client & Case Management
- Manage client requests such as withdrawals, contributions, and policy amendments.
- Produce client-facing documentation including one page summaries and supporting materials.
- Prepare and pre-populate review documentation and forms for client meetings.
- Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure fact-finds and compliance documentation are up to date.
- Use CRM workflows to track and manage new business cases and ongoing tasks
- Process and submit relevant paperwork efficiently and accurately
- Candidate
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).
- Demonstrable paraplanning experience within a financial planning environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial planning products, investments, pensions, and protection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Reliable and accountable with a proactive approach to work.
