Job Summary
The company is actively seeking two large and complex loss handlers to join the claims team. The role involves handling RTA personal injury claims valued between £250,000 and £3/4 million. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of fast and multi‑track third‑party claims, set and maintain accurate reserves, and negotiate proactive settlements in a timely manner. They will also support technical development of the team, providing coaching and training, and ensuring best practice is adopted. Recent experience with insurers is required, as relationships with reinsurers are critical; candidates should be comfortable dealing with claims around the £750,000‑£1,000,000 mark on a regular basis.
Essential Skills / Knowledge
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within the insurance (motor) industry in a claims handling role.
- Minimum of 3 years handling personal injury claims (motor) with experience in multi‑track claims.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in settling claims exceeding £250,000.
