With over 100 years of engineering heritage and recent recognition through the King’s Award for Innovation, we continue to grow by solving difficult technical challenges better than anyone else.

We are now looking for an Installation Engineer to join our national installation team.

The role

You will be responsible for the mechanical installation, commissioning and handover of Clark Door systems at customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas. This is a hands-on engineering role where you deliver high-quality installations safely, efficiently and in line with agreed programmes. You will represent Clark Door on site, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure installations are completed to the required safety and quality standards.

What you will do

  • You will install a wide range of industrial and specialist door systems, including steel hinged, sectional overhead, sliding and roller shutter doors.
  • You will work to risk assessments and method statements, carry out work safely at height where required, and complete installation documentation and handovers.
  • You will liaise with supervisors and managers on technical matters, coordinate day-to-day site activity, and ensure customers are kept informed throughout the installation process.
  • You may supervise a second engineer when required and support occasional surveys or follow-on works.

What we are looking for

You will be an experienced mechanical engineer with at least three years’ experience installing industrial or specialist doors. You will be comfortable working at height, following RAMS, and delivering work to defined quality standards. You will be professional, safety-focused and customer aware, with good communication skills and a strong sense of ownership for your work. A CSCS card and full UK driving licence are essential. IPAF, PASMA and specialist door certifications are desirable, or a willingness to obtain them. Travel within the UK and occasional overseas work will be required.
