Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing and Maintenance. We employ over 250 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland. Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join our finance department in our Paisley head office.
Role & Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
- Analysing the monthly financial results
- Bank and cash flow analysis
- Bank and Nominal reconciliations
- PAYE and VAT submissions
- Assist in the creation of management reports for the company Directors
- Auditing internal accounting processes and procedures
- Reporting to the Finance Director in all areas of finance
- Fully embrace the companies Customers 1st campaign to continually improve the way we deal with our customers.
The Candidate
This role would suit someone who is currently working towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Ideally experience within a fast-paced finance department would be preferred but not essential. You should have:
- A good understanding of core accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Confidence using Excel and accounting software
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from an experienced team.
