Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing and Maintenance. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will work closely with our project teams to ensure financial efficiency and value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Contracts Management and Estimating departments to ensure commercial viability of contracts.
- Taking an active role in our Supply Chain Management Initiative to ensure relationships are developed with subcontractors.
- Ensuring all monthly valuations and final accounts are submitted and agreed with clients within agreed timescales.
Requirements:
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contractor is preferred but not essential.
- Comfortable working with minimum supervision and have the ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
- IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to show a track record of profitability on projects you have worked on.

This is a full-time permanent position, and successful candidates can be based either from our Paisley head office or our Edinburgh Office in Newbridge. Due to the nature of the role, travel to and from sites and client meetings will also be required.
