Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing and Maintenance. We employ over 250 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Manager to join the business.
The Role & Responsibilities
- Work alongside Project Teams to effectively manage M&E service packages.
- Monitor the progress of our Sub-contractors and encourage a close working relationship.
- Provide programme and specialist information during the tender period.
- Ensure M&E services are being installed correctly and to the correct specification.
- Effectively manage the test & commissioning stage of the project to ensure that we achieve a clean handover.
- Ensure that O&M manuals handed over at completion at an acceptable standard.
- Manage the M&E contractor design portions with supply chain.
- Be involved in the M&E Design & Build process.
The Candidate
- Have Mechanical / Electrical construction industry experience at a supervisory / managerial level.
- Hold a recognised mechanical and electrical qualification.
- Have strong IT Skills including knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be adaptable to change within a fast-paced environment.
- Have the ability to work both as part of a team and by using their own initiative.
Experience of BREEAM and/or Design and Build would also be advantageous when applying for this role.

This is a full-time permanent position. Due to the nature of the role travel to and from sites and client meetings will also be required.
