We are seeking a creative and execution-driven Director of Field Marketing to lead our EMEA regional marketing strategy to drive brand engagement and leads from the library and academic markets using a mix of tradeshows, digital marketing, and proprietary events. This leader will own field marketing across EMEA, with a strong focus on Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and pipeline creation and acceleration, while also scaling a flagship proprietary events program which will be a must-attend experience for librarians, researchers, and academic leaders. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep expertise in regional demand generation, global coordination, event brand building, and audience-centric experiences tailored to the unique needs of academia.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- 10+ years in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on field marketing and events
- Proven success managing and leading marketing teams in a global organization
- Demonstrated expertise in Account-Based Marketing (ABM) at scale
- Track record of building and executing large-scale events or conference strategies
- Experience marketing to academic, research, or library audiences strongly preferred
- Experience in organizing/running a customer advisory board
- Experience in running targeted executive events covering agenda creation, securing speakers and creating compelling content for your target audience

What will you be doing in this role?
EMEA Field Marketing Leadership
- Own and execute the EMEA field marketing strategy aligned to global demand generation and revenue targets
- Lead a team of field marketers across EMEA region with a focus on skill development, collaboration and reporting
- Partner closely with regional sales leadership to drive pipeline creation, acceleration, and expansion
- Build campaigns that support a large customer base and drive in-person engagement to support retention and upsell across a large customer base.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated, multi-channel campaigns including digital, events, and partner marketing
- Drive account-based marketing (ABM) programs targeting key academic institutions, consortia, and government organizations
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting frameworks tied to pipeline, conversion, and ROI
- Lead the proprietary Clarivate event “brand” designed specifically for the EMEA region covering:
- Curate thought leadership programming, including:
- Elevate event experiences through:
- Community-driven content
- Networking and peer exchange
- Strategic partnerships with institutions and associations
Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
- Design and scale a regional ABM strategy with for EMEA
- Partner with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Sales, and Digital teams to orchestrate high-value engagement with named accounts
- Leverage intent data, segmentation, and personalization to improve account penetration and deal velocity
- Integrate ABM efforts across events, content, and digital channels
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Partner with:
- Global demand generation and digital marketing teams
- Product marketing and content teams
- Sales and SDR leadership
- Ensure strong alignment between global campaigns and regional execution
- Collaborate with North America and APAC teams to scale best practices globally
Team Leadership & Development
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, accountability, and innovation
- Establish repeatable processes and playbooks for scaling programs globally
About the Team
This role will lead a team of 5 Field Marketing Managers within our A&G segment based across the EMEA region.
Hours of Work
Full-time, permanent role based out of our London office on a hybrid basis, 2 days per week in the office.
