We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Intellectual Property Sales team for Bangalore This is an amazing opportunity to champion our line of IP products and services and work with our customers across the innovation ecosystem.

If you’re experienced in maintaining successful client relationships, with a track record in achieving financial targets, and providing invaluable cross-functional perspective on product and process improvements to the client experience.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years Sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Business intelligence or SAAS sales experience in the IP industry.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce. com).

• Proven track record of account management capability

  • Developing accounts through proactive account reviews and prospecting.
  • Deep discovery to understand customer workflow and content needs.
  • Adept at cultivating strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multi-stage sales processes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and time management skills.

It would be great if you are . . .

  • Understanding of consultative selling and strategic account management.
  • Proven success in a hybrid sales role, combining new logo acquisition with account expansion and revenue growth across existing customers.
  • Previous experience in Information Technology and Services, Legal Services, Information Services
  • Experience in Intellectual Property is a plus Flexible and adaptable with a strong desire to learn and develop.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Support and develop sales opportunities both independently and in collaboration with a team to exceed the annual sales target.
  • Utilise domain expertise to conceive and position value-added solutions.
  • Build and develop a pipeline with a clear focus on increasing opportunity size and velocity.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships creating confidence with senior stakeholders to become a trusted advisor to our customers.
  • Work in alignment with sales team members and solution consultants, to contribute to territory planning and maximise Clarivate’s exposure within our customers.
  • Diligent management of opportunities in CRM (Salesforce) ensuring all information is up to date at all times.
  • Contribute to and produce reports, including outlining current and proposed activities, sales forecasts and closing timetables.
  • Work with sales enablement, marketing and other commercial teams to develop and execute sales campaigns and lead generation activities
  • Pro-actively acquire and develop relevant market, industry and product knowledge and skills to support commercial success.
  • Upto 30% travel required

This role will be part of a team that supports customers across India, South-East Asia and ANZ, reporting to the Head, IP Sales-South Asia.

  • This is a full-time role requiring 40 working hours per week based out of Bangalore, India (IST).
  • Work Mode-Hybrid as per Clarivate location
