Associate (Clinical Outcome Assessments - COA)

Location: London, hybrid (Liverpool Street office; 2‑3 days in‑office, remainder remote). Full‑time, permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects focused on the development, evaluation, and implementation of COA research, including patient‑reported outcomes (PROs).
• Provide research support in all aspects of project delivery: qualitative and quantitative data collection, data analysis, report writing, and drafting abstracts and manuscripts.
• Develop qualitative and quantitative research study protocols, interview guides, informed consent forms, and literature/instrument reviews.
• Plan and conduct reviews of relevant COA/PRO instruments in accordance with scientific and regulatory guidelines.
• Plan and conduct competitor landscaping activities, such as reviewing PRO labels, clinicaltrials.gov, EPARs, approved FDA/EMA labels, regulatory meeting minutes, and communications.
• Plan and conduct qualitative interviews/focus groups with patients, clinicians, caregivers, and other stakeholders.
• Write reports and deliver findings (Word/PowerPoint), distilling key messages and recommendations.
• Attend and present at client meetings; attend training as required.
• Work with the project team to meet deadlines and achieve objectives; administer tasks following house styles and processes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health psychology, psychology, sociology, life sciences, or another relevant field (2:1 or higher).
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• At least 6 months of teamwork experience (vocational or academic).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
• Strong time‑management, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Proactive, self‑initiated problem‑solving and high‑quality deliverables mindset.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outcomes research or patient‑reported outcome development and evaluation.
• Understanding of clinical drug development and regulatory (FDA, EMA) procedures and guidance.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/medical device industry and client operating environments.
