We are seeking an Associate Consultant to join our Epidemiology Consulting practice in London, UK. The Associate Consultant will help to define projects, build work plans, and develop robust and valuable conclusions and recommendations for our clients. Associate Consultants are vital to ensuring that we provide our clients with the insights and information they need to achieve success. This role is primarily focussed in two high growth areas of the consulting business; epidemiology and US claims analysis.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant discipline (epidemiology, public health (with a focus on quantitative research), or biostatistics)
  • 2+ years of experience in Epidemiology or Consulting within life sciences & healthcare
  • Familiarity with observational/epidemiological or analytical methods.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw evidence-based conclusions.
  • A proven commitment to client service and competency to communicate technical concepts to both technical/academic/clinical as well as non-technical audiences.
  • Experienced with MS Office including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience in sizing patient populations and forecasting change over time.
  • Proficiency with relevant analytical tools/languages and statistical packages (e.g. R, Python, SPSS, SAS, SQL, machine learning).

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Lead and execute various primary and secondary research efforts needed for client projects.
  • Perform quantitative analysis (e.g., patient population sizing and modelling, data manipulation, claims analysis) to develop accurate product and market forecasts (e.g., sales projections, eligible patient population, etc.)
  • Conduct fully documented systematic reviews of both published and grey literature on the epidemiology of assigned diseases and their risk factors to estimate incidence/prevalence over a 10–20-year period.
  • Prepare research dossiers and summaries using existing published literature and other data sources to inform and scope out major research programmes and support business development activity.
  • Assist the wider team in sourcing data from secondary data sources such as disease registries, cancer registries, public health and government health websites.
  • Perform statistical analyses using R, python, SAS, SPSS or other appropriate software packages and present the results of those analyses to clients or a wider audience, if required.
  • Produce quality client deliverables including PowerPoint presentations, reports, white papers, etc.
  • Report in project progress to clients and to internal project management or other stakeholders, if required.
  • Engage on multiple client projects, effectively manage time commitments, and assume greater leadership and project management responsibilities over time.
  • Support senior team members in business development efforts including greenfield research, developing proposals pitch books, and responding to RFPs.

About the Team:

Our Epidemiology Consulting team partners with clients to deliver integrated health economics, outcomes research, value communications, and evidence strategy, helping to shape clinical performance, patient outcomes, and business success. The team consists of seven epidemiology experts based in the UK and India, specializing in epidemiological insights and solutions. We leverage global secondary data sources to provide strategic epidemiological insights that support key stakeholders in commercial, HEOR, and market access roles.

Hours of Work:

This is a full-time permanent position based in London, UK, and will require hybrid working in our Liverpool Street office (2-3 days per week in the office, rest of the week remote). This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
