About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This is a pivotal role that ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, supports executive decision-making, and drives the financial health of the business. Acting as a key business partner, you’ll provide insights that shape our strategy and enable growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP/IFRS.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and regulatory obligations.
    • Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
    • Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
    • Deliver variance analysis and financial models to support business decisions.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management
    • Monitor and manage cash flow to meet financial obligations.
    • Oversee banking relationships and optimise working capital.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement
    • Implement robust internal controls and financial procedures.
    • Drive efficiency through automation and system enhancements.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Support
    • Partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy.
    • Provide insights and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Technology & Systems
    • Oversee ERP and financial reporting systems.
    • Champion data analytics and dashboards for better decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential Experience
    • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
    • Audit and compliance expertise with UK GAAP/IFRS.
    • Proven leadership experience managing finance teams.
    • Strong ERP systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
    • Travel industry experience is highly desirable.
