Steel / Metal Work Estimator – Up to £60K – Ashford
We are currently seeking an experienced estimator to join our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, collaborating closely with our clients, design team, and project managers to prepare accurate cost estimates for metalwork projects of varying scale and complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements.
- Quantify materials, labour, and other resources needed for metalwork projects.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, considering factors such as material costs, labour costs, equipment costs, and overheads.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost-related matters and contribute to value engineering efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing data, and project documentation.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on architectural and structural metalwork is essential.
