Preparing reports to the Directors for monthly board meetings.
Head of a Finance and Admin team.
Responsible for the Sage Quick book accounting system
Verifying and ensuring complete and accurate data input into accounting system
Preparing Quarterly Management Accounts including balance sheet and ad hoc accounting reports when required using data from the Sage system.
Financial forecasting, budgeting in a project accounting environment, cash flow forecasting and management accounts.
Bank reconciliations
Project costing
Providing analysis and reports for meetings as otherwise required.
Providing accounting support for sales bids and tenders; also project meetings with current clients.
Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger responsibility; arranging payments and credit control.
Expenses and petty cash
Personnel Administration and managing input to outsourced payroll bureau. HR records, holiday records and time sheets.
Completing VAT returns and other tax returns
Liaising with external accountants, particularly to finalise the Statutory Annual Accounts.
General Office Administration, facilities management and possibly purchasing. .

I am looking for a fully qualified bookkeeper AAT or part qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA
Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial companies.
(Unlikely the role would suit someone from professional practice, banking or service industry)
A person with initiative, who is flexible, able to work under their own direction, participate as a member of the operational management team and capable of assuming full responsibility for their function.
Ability to produce management reports, periodic accounts, forecasting, budgeting and preferably project costing. Maintain and utilise the Sage accounting system.
Prepare Annual Accounts. VAT returns. Cash Management and forecasting (this is important in a project-based business like my clients and it would help if the person was interested in manufactured or engineered products, it would be necessary to broadly understand the process and how projects are completed., * AAT
