We provide bespoke end‑to‑end distribution services combined with the latest market insights and strategies, working with manufacturers to supply storage, distribution, and full or short line catalogues to wholesalers, pharmacies, GP surgeries, and hospitals.
We are expanding our Commercial Sales team and have an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join us.
Responsibilities
- Gain and develop new business by selling directly over the phone.
- Maintain responsibility for a database of existing and target customers.
- Proactively contact existing customers to maintain and grow their accounts.
- Resolve all customer queries, including complaints, when required.
- Ensure all customer enquiries are managed professionally and timely.
- Collaborate with various departments to obtain product information and resolve queries.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the product range and industry to engage customers and provide efficient front‑line service.
- Process orders and generate and calculate tenders for accounts.
- Communicate daily offers to target customers.
- Work to Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Agreements and quality standards to maximise customer satisfaction and performance.
- Complete the daily and monthly targets set.
- Follow procedures for each task, including logging, processing and progress chasing enquiries.
- Work with the Area Sales Manager on onboarding new pharmacy accounts and track account spend.
- Complete various departmental administration tasks as required by the business.
Person Specification
- Previous telesales experience.
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry & supply chain.
- Experience working with Orderwise.
- Proven sales record with commitment to reach targets and deadlines.
- Strong commercial awareness, sound judgement and competence in making business decisions.
- Strong computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Pro‑active, hard‑working with a positive can‑do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Confident and innovative approach to work.
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in your work.
