The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced group travel professional to join our Academic Fieldtrips team. This is a dual role, supporting academic group travel during the peak academic season (September to April) and venue find and group accommodation activity outside of peak periods.
During peak season the role focuses on managing educational field trip enquiries for students and academics, coordinating complex group bookings that may include flights, rail, accommodation, coaches and tours. Outside of peak periods you will support our Venue Find team, booking events, conferences and group accommodation for a wide range of clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver academic field trip enquiries during peak academic periods
- Coordinate large, multi‑component group bookings from enquiry through to delivery
- Support venue find activity, including conferences, events and group accommodation
- Work closely with Sales and Account Management to grow academic business and strengthen client relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with academic and venue suppliers
- Negotiate rates, terms and contracts to deliver commercially sound solutions
- Deliver proposals within agreed SLAs and quality standards
- Contribute to improving processes, ways of working and operational efficiency
- Achieve individual KPIs and performance targets
- Experience working in group travel, field trips, or complex group bookings
- Strong logistical coordination and organisational skills
- Commercial hotel, contracting and negotiation experience
- Understanding of the academic sector and how academic travel operates
- Knowledge of booking financials and commercial practices
- GDS and rail knowledge (desirable but not essential)
- Experience using venue booking systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work professionally in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Confident, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving
