Supporting an experienced leadership team in a business which is growing throughout the UK, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of clients consisting of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, using your technical expertise and strong relationship skills.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns, supporting senior colleagues with tax planning and advisory work, handling complex VAT queries, and advising clients on compliance and regulatory changes.
- Supervising staff, overseeing work, providing constructive feedback and ongoing training and support, conducting regular staff reviews, and acting as an approachable point of contact and mentor.
- Supporting the wider team, helping manage workflows and share best practices.
- Collaborating with an experienced leadership team in a growing business and managing a diverse portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in an accountancy practice with strengths in VAT, accounts preparation, personal tax and corporation tax.
- Exam qualification or studying towards ACCA or ACA; able to train, mentor and supervise junior staff.
- Strong relationship skills and ability to work with clients and team members at all levels.
Benefits & Working Arrangements
- Hours: 8.30 am to 5.15 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
- Holiday: 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
