- Founder and Director at Clariti AI | Price optimisation software for retail banks
- About Clariti AI
Clariti AI is a profitable, bootstrapped B2B Saa S company helping retail banks optimise pricing decisions on products such as mortgages and savings.
Our platform combines advanced machine learning with deep market insights to guide banks toward pricing strategies that unlock millions in additional annual revenue.
Today, Clariti AI’s software supports the optimisation of portfolios totalling over £150 billion across the UK and Ireland — and we’re now preparing to expand into new geographies and new product lines.
We’ve achieved this with a small, focused team of three, with no external investment, and a relentless focus on delivering measurable value for our clients.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we’re looking to build out our team to help shape the algorithms, models, and systems that power our Saa S platform.
The role
We’re looking for an exceptional Data Scientist to join us as a founding hire, helping shape the future of Clariti AI’s pricing intelligence platform and building long‑term ownership in the business as we grow.
This is not a narrow modelling position.
It’s a high‑impact, end‑to‑end role for someone who wants to build, experiment, and take full ownership of applied machine learning in production.
You’ll be designing and refining the algorithms that drive multi‑billion‑pound pricing portfolios, turning complex banking and market data into actionable insights and clear commercial value for clients.
Because our product sits at the intersection of data science and commercial decision‑making, the right person will also be comfortable engaging with current and potential clients, explaining how our models work, discussing their commercial implications, and helping shape how our technology delivers value in practice.
You’ll thrive here if you love taking ideas from concept to production, iterating quickly, and seeing your work make a direct commercial difference.
The ideal candidate combines technical depth with commercial intuition and a builder’s mindset — someone who wants to help shape both the product and the company as we scale.
What you'll be working on
This is an open and evolving role with plenty of scope to add value across the business.
You’ll work on projects that combine data science, product development, and client engagement, contributing wherever your skills have the most impact.
Your work might include
- Developing and improving our core pricing models, including customer segmentation, elasticity modelling, and portfolio optimisation.
- Processing and cleaning large datasets, identifying opportunities to dramatically improve the speed and efficiency of our data pipeline.
- Experimenting with new machine learning and statistical techniques to enhance prediction accuracy and model interpretability.
- Building out new data products and analytical features for the platform as we expand into new markets.
- Collaborating closely with clients to align our modelling with their pricing strategies, leading workshops, and contributing to portfolio analysis sessions.
- Supporting business development activities, from supporting acquisition outreach campaigns and pitches to explaining our technology to prospective clients.
- Continuously identifying ways to improve our processes and automation and bringing new ideas into production quickly.
What we're looking for
- A strong academic background, typically with a BSc or MSc in a quantitative or technical field.
- Hands‑on experience applying data science or analytical techniques to real‑world problems.
- Proficiency in Python (including libraries such as Pandas and Num Py) and confidence working with large datasets.
- A commercial mindset — you’re motivated by understanding how your work drives business outcomes and influences client decisions.
- The ability to communicate clearly and credibly with non‑technical audiences, including clients.
- An entrepreneurial drive to identify and develop growth opportunities.
- A self‑starter who enjoys solving open‑ended problems, improving processes, and building things in an early‑stage environment.
- Curiosity about applied machine learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Nice to haves
- Experience working with large‑scale datasets (100GB+) or optimising data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data engineering approaches that speed up or automate processing.
- Exposure to pricing analytics, optimisation, or the financial services sector, particularly retail banking.
- Experience developing data‑driven products or integrating models into production systems.
- Confidence preparing and delivering client presentations or workshops.
What we offer
- A competitive salary, reflecting experience and impact.
- A genuinely compelling profit‑share scheme, with the potential to own a significant stake in the business.
- Equity options in the event of an acquisition.
- Flexible working hours and a supportive, outcomes‑focussed culture.
- The ability to work from anywhere for up to two months each year.
- A genuine opportunity to gain experience quickly as the company scales.
- 25 days of annual leave, increasing by one day per year after two years’ service (up to 30 days).
- Other
- Unfortunately, we’re unable to sponsor visas, so applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
- Successful applicants should be willing to work in the London office up to two days a week and should be willing to travel to clients.
How to apply
- Please send your CV and a few words (maximum 300) on why you’d like to work at Clariti AI to jobs@clariti. ai
