Our Valuations team, led by Partner Alex Hall, work across a broad range of clients in multiple sectors and on various projects. Due to the continued growth of the firm and the valuations service line, we are looking for either an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Partner to join us. We appreciate that experience will vary depending on the grade you apply for, but you will be supported by Alex Hall, who has almost 20 years of experience and the wider Claritas team.
Essential background and experience includes:
- Minimum of six years of experience (Senior Manager) or ten years of experience (Associate Partner) in a tax role with a high level of exposure to valuations either in practice, in industry or a mixture of both.
- Experience in valuation projects being carried out for various purposes, such as tax-advantaged option plans, employment-related securities matters, Capital Gains Tax market value transactions, probate values, corporate reorganisations, debt restructuring, etc.
- Familiar with a variety of valuation methodologies to accommodate differing sectors, structures and share types, e.g. Ordinary shares, growth shares, ratchet shares, etc.
- CTA and / or ACA qualified (preferred although not essential).
- Experience of dealing directly with clients and intermediaries.
- A good working knowledge/ experience of the key relevant areas of tax involved in Equity Reward and Valuations, including: Employment-related securities and their interaction with employee incentives, Tax-advantaged and non-tax-advantaged share schemes (benefits, qualifying conditions, etc).
- Interest in the development of junior staff members, including new graduates.
We will consider ambitious Senior Managers and Associate Partners/Directors looking for an exciting new opportunity to work within a continually growing team, who will support you to grow as an individual and further develop your career. These roles are preferably full-time, but we will consider part-time/flexible working arrangements.
