The Role:
- Minimum of three yearsâ experience (Assistant Manager) or four yearsâ experience (Manager) in an indirect tax role either in professional practice, at HMRC or in industry (or a mixture of all three).
- CTA and / or ACA qualified (preferred although not essential).
- Experience of dealing directly with clients.
- A good working knowledge/ experience of the key relevant areas of tax involved in Indirect Taxation, including:
- âEnd-to-Endâ M&A transactions â working with the wider tax due diligence teams by providing support on identifying material VAT-related risks and opportunities.
- Maximising VAT recovery on professional costs incurred by businesses undertaking M&A activity including PE-backed acquisitions, trade disposals, reorganisations, refinancing and restructuring.
- Real estate transactions for residential and commercial developers and investors.
- Post-Brexit complex international supply chains likely to give rise to additional VAT compliance and reporting requirements.
- Partial exemption methodology and product liability reviews for businesses in the FS, Real Estate and Health & Welfare sectors.
Strong project and time management. Interest in development of junior staff members.
We will consider ambitious Senior Associates, Assistant Managers and Managers looking for an exciting new opportunity to work within an ever-growing boutique tax team with a wide and diverse client base that will support you to grow as an individual, develop your career and endeavour to provide you with the right tools to be the best indirect advisor you can be. These roles are preferably full-time, but we will consider part-time/flexible working arrangements where necessary.
Only those applicants who have a legal right to work in the UK and have an appropriate amount of practical relevant UK indirect tax experience will be considered for these roles.
