Our Banking and Finance team is looking to add to its team following a period of sustained growth and success in the local and national market. We are looking for a Banking and Finance lawyer to help us continue to grow our Banking and Finance practice which is led by three talented and experienced partners.
Here is a snapshot of what you can expect to work across on a day-to-day basis:
- Working for banks, financial institutions, lenders, asset-based lenders and borrowers
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements including LMA based templates
- Drafting and negotiating intercreditor and other ranking agreements
- Ensuring and/or supervising satisfaction of condition precedents to facility agreements to allow for drawdown when acting for either the lender or borrower
- Assisting our award-winning Corporate and Real Estate departments in respect of corporate acquisitions, property acquisitions and/or development funding
- Working for a broad mix of clients from FTSE 100 companies to international entities based in Europe and the USA
- Building and supporting client relationships, with an active role to play in business development and the ability to build your and the team’s own client base
What we are looking for:
- You will need at least 3 years’ PQE as a Banking and Finance lawyer and the following attributes to be able to succeed in this position:
- Experience of real estate finance and/or leveraged finance
- Experience of LMA documentation (though not necessarily the drafting of facility agreements and/or intercreditor deeds)
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Thoroughness in all aspects of work, and great care and attention to detail
- Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, to manage priorities effectively and to work under the pressure of deadlines
- Good organisational and analytical skills, and logical thinking
- Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated, with strong sense of initiative
- The ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
