Overview
Are you customer focused, confident and logical with excellent communication skills? Grange Property Management are looking for a Visiting Scheme Manager to look after our properties at White Horse Court in Storrington. With a ‘can do’ attitude you’ll prioritise and manage your own workload independently. This is a varied and customer facing role supporting residents in maintaining their well-being and independence. Lone working is required, with support from your Regional Manager and Head Office Team along with a Training and Support Assistant. As the Scheme Manager you’ll be organised and able to manage multiple tasks. You’ll have a good understanding of building maintenance and be responsible for the general management of the building, including organising repairs and maintenance of communal areas and the structure of the property. You’ll also oversee contractors on annual contracts and carry out communal cleaning, gardening and window cleaning. You’ll be an excellent communicator who enjoys working closely with people from all backgrounds, and you’ll develop and nurture good working relationships with residents, contractors and clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for resident complaints, leasehold enquiries or property alterations; advise and empathise with residents, typically aged 60 plus.
- Manage day-to-day building operations and maintain safety, cleanliness and accessibility of communal areas.
- Coordinate repairs and planned maintenance; oversee contractors on annual contracts.
- Oversee communal cleaning, gardening and window cleaning.
- Assist residents to maintain their well-being and independence; support resident engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Utilise IT tools (e.g., Outlook and Word) for communication and administration.
Qualifications and Skills
- Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage own workload and organise multiple tasks.
- Good understanding of building maintenance and property management.
- Experience or ability to oversee contractors and liaise with residents, contractors and clients.
- IT competency including Outlook and Word.
- Flexibility to travel across the region as required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK; basic criminal record check clearance may be required.
Additional Information
White Horse Court consists of 28 one- and two-bedroom flats. There is a scheme manager’s office, and the communal areas include a resident’s lounge and kitchenette, laundry and communal gardens.
