This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customer Accounts professional with leadership experience, or someone ready to take the next step into a team leadership role, to build on their expertise while making a real difference to customers.
As a Customer Accounts Team Leader, you will lead a team of Customer Account Specialists, supporting them to deliver effective, compliant services that underpin the Group's income management approach. You will play a key role in maximising rent collection while helping to minimise financial hardship for our customers through a fair, customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
- Coach, develop and motivate your team to achieve their full potential; manage performance, provide regular feedback and address underperformance where necessary.
- Set clear objectives, monitor progress and foster a culture of continuous learning; ensure your team has the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent outcomes.
- Drive high performance while supporting the ongoing development of the service through leadership and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience of leading, motivating or developing others, with a strong background in income management, debt recovery, credit control or a similar customer accounts environment.
- A proven track record of improving team and service performance while balancing commercial objectives with excellent customer service.
- Sound understanding of rent arrears management, relevant legislation, court processes, policies and procedures, and good working knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and Welfare Reform, and their impact on customers.
