Our Kent Domestic Abuse Service is looking for a Support Officer to join our dynamic team in Folkestone. The role of Support Officer is challenging yet rewarding, providing a wide range of support to vulnerable individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse.
Responsibilities- Help families stay safe from abuse
- Enable access to welfare benefits and assistance with debt
- Provide emotional support to clients
- Help clients seek and apply for more permanent housing
- Work alongside colleagues in supported housing or outreach services across Kent
- Experience in the housing and support sector (preferred but not mandatory)
- Professionalism, empathy, and understanding of client needs
