The Opportunity: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sales Executive to work within the Clarion Asia Team on some of its most exciting events, Design Shanghai and Design Shenzhen. Design Shanghai has become one of the biggest design shows in the world in just 10 years. It is comfortably the largest international design event in Asia, having moved into a new purpose-built international exhibition venue in 2020 to enable the event’s impressive growth and development to continue. Design Shanghai launched his sister show - Design Shenzhen in March 2023 to expand its offering across China. With the expansion of the project, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the customer experience, enhancing what is on offer, seeking to develop market and product knowledge, and join a growing team for Design Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct consultative selling (telephone and face-to-face) to existing, lapsed and potential new business clients, build customer relationships, deliver excellent customer service, and maximise revenue - travelling internationally as required.
  • Identify and research new growth areas for sales enhancing offerings and service portfolio.
  • Feedback on product offering and barriers to conversion enhancing customer experience.
  • Continuously developing market and product knowledge.
  • Attend competitive events and industry trade shows building personal networks advocating our brand.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Fluency in Italian, both verbal and written, is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience working within a sales environment.
  • Consultative and solutions focused with the ability to create bespoke, commercially viable propositions for clients of various sizes.
  • Highly self-motivated, pro-active, and a true team player.
  • Work with high levels of integrity, always doing the right thing, not the easy thing.
  • Curious about the design industry developing knowledge to become a true expert in the sector.
  • International travel as and when required.
  • An interest in the Art and Design sector is desirable.
