The Opportunity
World Gaming (a division within Clarion Events) is the home of three market‑leading event brands: ICE, ICE Barcelona – January 19 – 21, 2026, and IGB L!VE. We have an amazing opportunity for a brilliant, seasoned senior campaign manager to take over the creation, delivery, and success of the ICE marketing campaign. ICE is the place the world of gaming goes to do business and plays host to 65,000+ gaming professionals each year in the city of Barcelona as part of World Gaming week. This is the marketing leading event and the most respected long‑standing show in the gaming calendar.
The Candidate
The Senior Campaign Manager will play a key role across ICE. This role will create and manage the campaign strategy for each event which will allow the marketing team to hit their goals. The ideal candidate will be a marketing all‑rounder, with proven leadership abilities and a proven track record of delivering growth. Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Brand Director, they’ll work alongside the marketing team to deliver the marketing objectives across their products.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Leadership: Creating and managing the ICE marketing campaign plans – driving acquisition and retention in key segments to achieve our business goals across events and digital products.
- Campaign Delivery & Optimization: Accountable for delivery of the global ICE campaign plans – effectively briefing, managing, and optimizing the output of the internal team and external resources.
- Data‑Driven: Use business intelligence, customer feedback, and insight to suggest and implement new campaign ideas.
- Customer‑Centric: Ensuring that all campaign plans and deliverables are heavily influenced by customer data, research, and feedback.
- Management and Reporting: Responsible for the management and development of two marketing executives, fostering their progression and creating development plans.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of best practice across email, social media, paid media, landing pages, websites, and chatbots.
- Excellent direct response copywriter and copy editor.
- Exceptional project management skills – organized, proactive, and able to multi‑task.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing performance metrics and optimisation tactics.
- Excellent communicator – great verbal and written communications skills.
- Obsessed with feedback – continuously learn, develop, deliver, and receive feedback.
- Be a critical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise relevant tasks.
- Experience with marketing technology including email marketing automation, CRM, social media management, website analytics, and chatbots.
- Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently.
