At Clarion, our people are at the absolute heart of what we do. We’re proud that our core values of PASSION, CARE, IMAGINATION, and TRUST define the way we carry out our work across all of our teams. If you share our values and want to be a part of a successful, dynamic, and creative global business then we want to hear from you.

The Opportunity: We're looking for a commercially sharp, creative, and confident marketer with astute copywriting instincts and a solid grasp of the core principles of marketing; someone who knows how to turn a good idea into a campaign that sells tickets. You'll join our Motoring Portfolio as Senior Marketing Executive, taking a hands-on role in the campaigns behind three premier shows:

  • Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show - the UK's biggest classic car show and the world's largest gathering of vehicle clubs
  • Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show - the UK's biggest event dedicated to restoring, maintaining and preserving classic cars.
  • Race Retro – The Motorsport Show - the UK's pre-season home for circuit racing, rallying and club motorsport, bringing together racing drivers and enthusiasts alike.

Together, these three shows cover over 150,000 sqm of gross floor space, showcase around 4,500 vehicles, host 1,300 exhibitors and 380 vehicle clubs, and welcome more than 110,000 visitors a year.

About the Shows:

  • Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show: We are the UK's largest indoor car show, held annually at the NEC Birmingham. This year's show runs from 13 to 15 November 2026, spanning seven halls with 320+ vehicle clubs and over 3,000 classic vehicles on display. The show regularly welcomes TV celebrities such as Richard Hammond and celebrates the heritage and culture of classic motoring.
  • Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show: We are the UK's biggest 'season opener' show, covering everything to do with restoring and maintaining a classic car, from expert advice to the parts and tools needed to get the job done. For many owners, it's the first stop of the year when planning their next project or getting their classic ready for the summer season.
  • Race Retro: We are the UK's only pre-season event combining live rally action, top motorsport brands, iconic race cars and interviews with motorsport legends. A different crowd again, drawn by competition and speed as much as motorsport history.

The Candidate: We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and competent marketer who understands the core principles of great marketing and has a strong set of digital skills to match. You'll take a key role in delivering campaigns that drive visitor attendance and ticket sales within budget, across three genuinely different audiences, so the ability to pivot tone and messaging so it resonates authentically with each one matters far more than a one-size-fits-all approach.

You'll bring initiative and fresh ideas, get stuck into the customer-centric campaign, and manage your time independently across more than one project at once. We're looking for around 2 to 3 years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally gained in a fast-paced consumer environment. A tenacious, can-do approach matters as much as the day-to-day marketing skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of customer-centric marketing strategies
  • Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns on time and to budget
  • Create compelling content across website, email, social, print and digital channels
  • Help drive CRO and SEO on our event websites, using GA4 (and Clarity) to track the customer journey and spot what's working in real time
  • Plan, implement and analyse email marketing campaigns
  • Deliver end-to-end paid digital campaigns across search, display and social, working with agreed budgets and optimising towards ticket sales
  • Manage organic and paid social media, working with our video editor to produce engaging reels and YouTube Shorts
  • Write clear creative briefs and work with our in-house design team to bring campaign assets to life
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, media, content creators, YouTubers, car clubs and exhibitors
  • Liaise with Marketing Operations and report on campaign performance, providing clear insight and recommendations
  • Support onsite marketing and event delivery live events.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Proven experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading and analytical skills
  • Experience building email campaigns and using marketing automation (Pardot desirable)
  • Website optimisation using GA4 to improve CRO and spot activation opportunities in real time (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of SEO (desirable)
  • Understanding of customer data, segmentation and reporting (Treasure Data desirable)
  • Confident working with performance tracking and response reporting
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience or interest in cars, motoring or motorsport is an advantage, but not essential.
