We have an exciting opportunity for a French speaker to join EnergyNet, a leading producer of investment conferences in Africa's energy sectors; with a strong reputation for organizing the Africa Energy Forum - the premier event for power sector decision-makers in Africa. Our recent events have been held in exciting locations such as Lisbon, Brussels, Miami, Cape Town, Cartagena, Lima, Panama City, Nairobi, and Dar es Salaam.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join the fastest growing sectors in the world - Africa Power Sector. You will be responsible for selling on specific events within EnergyNet's Queen's Award-winning portfolio of conferences. Reporting to the Group Director - Sales Performance, the Delegate Sales Executive role is a phone-based sales position working to establish new, and extend existing relationships, with customers.
The ideal candidate will be an entry-level sales professional who is commercially curious and confident, with an interest in learning proven sales processes; they will be a motivated self-starter who sets ambitious yet achievable goals, tracks their performance accurately, and is keen to develop and improve continuously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selling over the phone to existing, and potential new clients, to meet realistic sales revenue targets both in English and French.
- Creating, developing, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients through a consultative sales approach, demonstrating the value of attending EnergyNet's conferences.
- Keeping abreast of market developments, identifying, and researching new growth areas for sales.
- Maintaining key customer care objectives.
- Helping develop strategies and initiatives with your line manager to ensure the ongoing growth and development of the conferences and your role.
- Liaising with the Marketing Team and Line Manager to follow up on enquiries, upselling, database updates, new business, group sales, and reports.
- Monitoring and evaluation of all competitor activity.
- Ensuring and assisting accounts personnel in the timely payment of all customer payments.
