The Opportunity: An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced events marketer to join the Clarion Gaming team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cross-channel marketing campaigns on key events for the iGB Events portfolio, including iGB Affiliate Barcelona and iGB L!VE, our two market-leading global igaming events held annually in Barcelona and London, as well as supporting the development of other marketing campaigns across our product mix.
The ideal candidate, who will report to our Campaign Manager, will be someone ready for the next step in their career and has demonstrated passion and has experience in channels like email, social, paid ads and partnerships (and ideally has deeper skills in 2 – 3 different channels).
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-task to work on multiple event campaigns at any one time throughout the year.
- Support the creation, prioritisation and management of marketing activities and create a schedule of marketing tasks to deliver work accurately and on time.
- Manage and execute targeted email marketing campaigns - including copywriting and A/B testing - and manage the monitoring, performance reporting and ongoing analysis.
- Support the planning, development, production, and repurposing of content for accurate delivery of the campaign customer journey across all touchpoints and channels.
- Measuring channel performance and analysing key metrics to optimise campaign effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver qualified leads for the SpEX team and for the iGB Affiliate Awards, and respectively via targeted communications.
- Utilise the CRM Systems and marketing technology tools to perform the day-to-day marketing activity required to build emails, templates, marketing assets and utilise customer data segments.
- Undertake copywriting for the website, emails, and social media – ensuring the delivery of the brand standards by accurately interpreting the brand tone of voice, brand personality, USP’s, positioning and messaging and ensuring it is tailored towards individual customer segments.
- Work with sponsors, exhibitors and speakers and partners to promote the events with their networks to drive attendee acquisition.
- Ensuring that all campaign plans and deliverables are heavily influenced by customer data, research and feedback.
- Continued learning (and more importantly, implementing that learning) about the industry and marketing through attending events, reading, listening to podcasts and webinars.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Excellent knowledge of best practice across email, social media, paid media, landing pages, websites and chatbots (ideally with depth knowledge in 2 – 3 channels).
- Excellent direct response copywriter and copy editor.
- Experience creating and delivering campaigns across multiple marketing channels.
- Good project management skills – organized, proactive and able to multi-task.
- Knowledge of marketing performance metrics and optimisation tactics.
- Excellent communicator – great verbal and written communications skills that can translate campaign strategies in a simple way to a range of stakeholders and team members.
- Obsessed with feedback – we love to continuously learn and develop and being able to deliver and receive feedback is a critical skill in our team.
- Be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills - driven to understand “why” and takes the initiative to identify trends and gaps.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize relevant tasks.
- Experience with marketing technology including email marketing automation, CRM, social media management website analytics, chatbots and more.
- Ability to work with data sets, interpret trends and provide analysis and recommendations based on data that support our goals.
- Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently.
- Highly proactive, initiating attitude – able to take prompt action to accomplish objectives and goals, with the energy and tenacity to address bottlenecks and barriers.
